The life of youngsters in Bhoyana village in Dhamtari district, Chhattisgarh earlier revolved around their daily activities of attending school and helping families out in the farms. However, with digital literacy initiative being carried out by CSC, their lives are witnessing a transformation.

Yogeshwar Kumar Sahu, one such youngster of Bhoyana, underwent digital literacy training at the CSC of VLE Tanuja Raichura in September 2016. A graduate, he wasn?t getting any job and was unemployed. When he started the training at the CSC, he only knew how to operate a feature phone. He was ignorant about smart phone and computers. Yogeshwar showed lot of interest in learning about operating a computer. He also helped VLE Tanuja inform other people in his locality about digital literacy training.

Sensing his inclination in picking up digital skills, VLE Tanuja trained him to become a Aadhaar Supervisor. Yogeshwar passed the test and started working in VLE Tanuja?s CSC. He would help VLE Tanuja in providing various services like Aadhaar Enrollment, online banking, Internet surfing, etc.

Having learnt about managing the services of CSC, Yogeshwar applied for his CSC ID in October last. Today, he is a proud owner of CSC in Bhoyana and provides various online services to citizens of the village. He has also applied for Banking service, RAP registration and Udyam Jyoti. Yogeshwar says, ?My transformation from an unemployed youth to a Village Level Entrepreneur has been possible because of digital literacy training.
