“If Digital Marketing were not available to startups, we would not have seen multi billion dollar startups such as FlipKart, Snapdeal emerging from India.” These are words of Pradeep Chopra.

Pradeep Chopra- CEO of Digital Vidya is recognized as a leader in Digital Marketing education . How does he view himself and keep defining his own sense of purpose?

In our interview, Pradeep reflects on his own evolution from being the founder of Digital Vidya and a chief architect of the Digital Marketing education Age, who has committed to invest significantly in Digital Marketing  space to serve the India’s inclusive growth story.

Please share with us the initiatives undertaken by Digital Vidya?

Digital Vidya is one of Asia’s leading Digital Marketing education firm. We’ve contributed to the success of over 11,000 professionals (including CXOs) from over 5000 organizations across Asia through over 500 Digital Marketing & Mobile Marketing certification programs.

In addition to our public programs, we’ve been doing customized digital marketing programs for organizations and academic institutions including IITs & IIMs.

How do you see the current state and future of Digital Marketing, both from customers and companies perspectives? What does the future of Digital Marketing looks like in India?

Given the ever-increasing growth in terms of number of Internet users, the opportunity of Digital Marketing for organizational growth and career growth for individuals is only going to grow in the coming years. Mobile is going to further fuel this growth.

In our experience, it’s the best time to be part of this industry for students & professionals, who are interested in building a rewarding career in Digital Marketing. Would you give us an example of what Digital Vidya is able to accomplish that perhaps others are not?

As I shared earlier, we are proud of the contribution we’ve been able to make in the career and business growth for 1000s of people across Asia. We are also proud of our exclusive partnerships with organizations such as Google and Microsoft in India. As their official training partner, we are helping their partners learn and leverage Digital Marketing for their growth.

How do you reach potential clients, how do they find you and how do they know who and what to look for?

We extensively use various Digital Marketing channels such as SEO, SEM, Social Media and Email Marketing for our customer acquisition. If we are unable to successfully leverage these mediums then it doesn’t make sense for us to impart our training programs J.

How do you see Digital Marketing evolving in India with respect to the global scenario?  How can our start ups cater to the global requirements in the light of challenging entrepreneurship environment in India?  

Thanks to growth of Internet and our large population, Digital Marketing is exploding in India. Given we just have 300M online users so far, the future growth is also ensured in India.

What is the biggest challenge you have faced so far and what was the strategy to deal with it?

One of the biggest challenges for us is to educate our audience about why they need to educate themselves on Digital Marketing. Given the lower entry barrier in this industry, most of the people feel that they either know it well or will be able to become expert in few days J.

What are the key marketing and building strategies for your business?
Our past, present and future growth is based on our ability to continuously improve our efforts in leveraging various opportunities in Digital Marketing. We are always looking for newer opportunities based on the regular changes in Digital Media.

What are your future plans?

We would like to continue our leadership position in India and expand to other geographies in the immediate future. Moreover, we would like to make our programs available to newer audience in India.
