In its endeavour to empower underprivileged communities, who have been deprived from social, economic and technological advancement, CSC SPV has been putting efforts through floating various schemes and programmes focusing on uplift of people from marginalized communities, including minorities, tribals, women, and Divyangs.
Spread across remote villages and mofussil towns of the country, three lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) are leaving no stone unturned to bring positive change in the lives of people through technology, with special attention on underprivileged communities.
VLE Irfan Ansari, who himself comes from poor background, decided to do something for the welfare of such people who still don?t have access to good education, health and other benefits of the government.
With the aim of serving the society, Irfan started his CSC one-and-half years ago at Jori Gram Panchayat of Jharkhand?s Lohardaga district, providing various CSC services, for e.g. PAN Card, Bill Payment, Recharge, Caste Certificate, BCC and Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDISHA) etc.
Irfan, with his commitment and devotion, helped several school students from Jori Gram Panchayat of Jharkhand’s Lohardaga district, prepare for entrance examination of Navodaya Vidyalaya, which are known for their academic excellence throughout the country. Out of seven students trained by him, two have successfully cracked the entrance exam and got admission in 6th standard in Navodaya Vidyalaya in Lohardaga district.
He provided them intensive training for the entrance exam at his CSC free of cost for last few months, and also helped them locate study material from Internet. This helped the students to prepare better for the exam to make their parents dream come true. He filled students? registration form online for Navodaya VIdyalaya at CSC without charging any fee.
That apart, he also provided them computer training to find study material online on their own.
It is notable that in spite of having poor Internet connectivity and power issues, Irfan managed to provide free training to students.
Irfan’s relentless efforts bore the fruits as his student Hanan Ansari and Suraj Kumar Mahto qualified the entrance exam and got admission in 6th standard of prestigious Navodaya Vidyalaya School, bringing good name to their parents.
Now with increasing popularity of the VLE after this success, more and more parents are approaching him to get their children trained by him for entrance exam.
Moreover, Mr. Irfan is providing free PMGDISHA training to the villagers on a regular basis. He has registered 450 students under PMGDISHA, and trained 55 under BCC. editor@ictpost.com
