Digital Learning as new method of Medical Education

BJP veteran Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, renowned cardiac surgeon Dr. Devi Shetty and Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State for AYUSH came together on Feb 3 for the launch of “State of healthcare Reforms in India”, the well documented experience of the father of India’s eHealth revolution Rajendra Pratap Gupta .

“This book presents a roadmap for new HOPE in Indian healthcare sector,” Mr Gupta said in the launch function in New Delhi. Delivering the key note address at the Seminar, Shetty said the next big thing in health care will not be “magic pill” or a new operation but digital technology. He said that another big thing in healthcare is online clinics and elaborated that in the coming ten years, entire out-patient services provided by doctors will disappear and patients will stay at home and get online consultations.

All the speakers focused that developing an effective health care delivery system and ensuring universal access to health care immensely depend on the status of the medical education system.
